Abstract
The goal of this study is to provide the Integrated Curriculum for Social Studies as the Integrated core. Social studies education was defined as the Integrated study of the social sciences to promote civic competence.
Helping students construct powerful social understandings and take seriously the responsibilities of democratic citizenship are basic to the well-being of the students we teach can easily serve as a unifying goal for much of the teaching and learning that goes on in elementary and middle schools.
The first approach to curriculum integration is the infusion approach. Aspects of one subject area are inserted or infused into another in such a way that the learner's grasp of both in enhanced.
An alternative approach to curriculum integration is the fusion model. Now, two or more subject matter are joined together in such a way that a new, unified understanding is achieved, There is no sence, an in the infusion model, that subject matter A is serving subject matter B, or visa versa ; rather A and B are fused to produce C. C is a powerful idea ( a concept or generalization) that requires for its proper development in student's minds information from more than on subject area.
