Abstract
SnO2-core/Ga2O3-shell nanowiresweresynthesizedbyone-stepthermalevaporationofamixtureof SnO2, GaNandgraphitepowdersat1000 1C. Transmissionelectronmicroscopyandenergy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopyconcentrationprofilesofSn,Ga,andOacrossthediameterofthenanowire indicatedclearlythatthenanowireconsistedofasinglecrystalSnO2 core andasinglecrystalGa2O3 shell withashelllayerthicknessof 20 nm.ApossiblegrowthmechanismofSnO2-core/Ga2O3-shell nanowiresintheone-stepsynthesisprocessisproposed.
