ZSM-5 촉매를 사용한 C9+ 아로마틱 혼합물의 선택적인 탈알킬화 반응 연구

Pt/H-ZSM-5 zeolites (Si/Al ratio between 40 and 60) with Pt loading amount of 0.28 wt% were synthesized, and were employed as catalysts for hydrodealkyation of C9+ aromatics (3.5 mol% para-Xylene, 8.4 mol% methylethylbenzene (MEB) isomers, 79 mol% trimethylbenzene (TMB) isomers, and 9.1 mol% tetramethylbenzene (TeMB) isomers). five different crystallite sizes (35, 20, 9, 5, 1 ?m) were prepared, and the influence of crystallite size on catalytic activity was investigated. The catalysts were physicochemically characterized using X-ray diffractometry, BET, scanning electron microscopy, and ICP-OES. The hydrodealkylation was performed in a conventional fixed bed reactor for 3hours over a temperature range of 370-450 ?C, and The influence of crystallite size on TMB isomers recovery yield and ET isomers conversion were examined. Conversion of ET isomers was always observed to be higher than conversion of TMB isomers. The product distribution was strongly dependent on crystallite size of ZSM-5. Compared with ZSM-5(20 ?m), ZSM-5(5 ?m) catalyst showed much higher ET dealkylation with slightly decreased TMB recovery yield. These results are probably due to both surface area increase and change in external acid site density.
