Abstract
Railway corporation made a big stroke in its history from the starting point of changing to a public corporation in 2005 and has been taking every possible endeavor for the management improvement. This research analyzed a trend and stability of the efficiency about Korea 26 railway container handling goods station from 2002 years to 2007 years based on time of after being changed to a public corporation in 2005 in order to look into the trend of efficiency. The DEA- AR (Data Envelopment Analysis-Assurance Region) and the DEA-Window widely used as the estimation techniques of the efficiency were used. According to the results, the efficiency was a little bit enhanced in 2003 years in comparison with 2002 years and then, it by continuously decreased the year 2006 and again rises in 2007 years. Efficiency of railway corporation was 0.6345 but after being changed to a public corporation, it showed the trend of better efficiency after some transition period has passed. We could know that the chronological efficiency of Sapgyo station was most stable and that of SongJeong-Ri station was most unstable.
