Abstract
A novel temperature-insensitive strain sensor based on a fiber Bragg grating is demonstrated. The front
section of the fiber Bragg grating is fixed to a crystal plate, and the other section is linearly etched by HF
acid. The reflected power and bandwidth of the grating vary linearly with strain and is insensitive to temperature
variation.
